Police Drones… The Story So Far!

Keith is a serving police sergeant with 29 years’ experience in front line policing, currently seconded to the College of Policing as the Drones Manager SME. Prior to this, he was Chief Pilot for West Midlands Police Drones and responsible for the development, guidance and support of over fifty emergency service pilots. Keith is an experienced drone pilot and has operated in some of the most challenging environments. He has completed the Level 5 Award for Commercial Drone Chief Pilots (RQF). He is also a nationally accredited Counter Drone operator, trainer and tactical adviser. Keith’s experience extends into working collaboratively with other organisations, and he is currently working alongside the NPCC to develop national policy. In 2021, he supported the Home Office, consulting on the National Police Drone Landscape Review.
