Shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday 19th January Aberdyfi Search & Rescue Team was called to assist with the evacuation of an injured mountain biker at Dyfi Bike Park near Machynlleth.

The 42 year-old man had taken a tumbling fall from his bike, sustaining suspected injuries to his lower back, hips and right leg. The air ambulance attended the incident, along with a Welsh Ambulance Service crew, and Team volunteers helped transport the man by stretcher from the incident site to the waiting aircraft.

Everyone was safely off the hill by 4:00 p.m.
