Neil Sinclair talked about digital security, The Firefighters Charity advised on improving sleep quality, Bill Whitehouse described the ‘longest haul in UK cave rescue’, and Nigel Williams explained how improving personal navigational skills can add value to mountain rescue. There was also a bumper peer review update from Upper Wharfedale, Ogwen Valley and Duddon and Furness teams. Les Gordon summarised a number of papers on the management of accidental hypothermia and assessed their relevance to mountain rescue.
