Issue 32 Mountain Rescue April 2010
The focus was very much on avalanches in this issue, as Scotland’s Jonathan Hart explained the importance of regular avalanche training for team members, Patterdale MRT described the rescue of four climbers following an avalanche on Pinnacle Ridge in the Lake District and Bob Sharp and Dave Whalley discussed whether getting avalanched really was a ‘chance in a million’. David Allan continued to take us through the alphabet, with eponymous medical terms from Salmonella to Starling’s Law and John Coombs looked at new thinking in how dogs search to find a casualty.
