Issue 18 Mountain Rescue Magazine October 2006
Perhaps the first mention of mental health issues for the magazine – oddly, given that team members are frequently tasked to search for vulnerable people, often described as ‘suicidal’ or suffering with Alzheimers – with a look at how teams should deal with casualties with psychiatric illness. Plus a report on the emerging technology of GPS tracking, arguably one of the biggest changes for mountain rescue in recent years.
