Our fascination with history continued with aa look at what led to the first stirrings of an official mountain rescue service, in 1933. A Scottish team member travelled to Oldham to train with the team, Bowland Pennine gave an in-depth report on a ‘fallen climber in quarry’ incident, and a new, official mountain rescue ‘supporter’ badge was launched.
