Issue 62 Mountain Rescue Autumn 2017
Lyle Brotherton took a detour from navigation with a look at ‘beasties in the hills’ and the many things our there that bite, sting or simply bother us! Meanwhile, fellow navigation expert Peter Sapsford challenged the ‘map and compass’ message. Carl Faulkner sat on both sides of the peer review fence as reviewer and reviewed, George McEwan helped us brush up on personal climbing skills and Dave Whalley recalled a successful rescue on Ben Nevis in 1990 with ‘Dead men don’t wave’.
