The magazine hit a brief new high with 60 pages for the summer issue. Inside, Mike Bedford and Jon Whiteley detailed the problems and solutions with radio communications that are unique to cave rescue, and John Gordon explained the shifting geology of our mountains. In technology, John Hulse introduced a brand new call-out platform called SARCALL, which was set to change the way teams are called out, and Mark Lewis explained where we were up to with digital mapping and SARMAN. Meanwhile, David Allan went from the Thomas Splint to the Trendelenberg Position. and John Coombs looked at ‘other uses’ for a search dog, in property searching.
